Never underestimate the power of nostalgia connected to a particularly fun toy, especially with those of us who grew up in the 1990’s. ‘90s babies will likely not be surprised that the idea of a 3D printed Beyblade already exists, with its immense popularity and legions of fans from the Japanese manga to the well-received anime, it was only a matter of time before people looked into how to 3D print a Beyblade with devoted gusto.

The ‘90s brought its fair share of surprises, not the least of which was the western world’s embracing of Japanese cultural exports. Beginning arguably with Pokémon, an entire generation became infatuated with anime, JRPGs, and the art of perfecting the practice of persuading our parents to purchase the products that came with them.

Beyblades were a late entry to this craze, arriving just before the turn of the millennium, while this could have meant a problem as the fads died somewhat in popularity, fans of all ages were still just as captivated and still eager as ever to pick up and play. Like the character, this 3D printed Beyblade burst model is a favorite among fans, and available as a fully printable and usable spinner.

The designer was fed up finding other stadium examples print with rough edges that negatively affected the game, and so designed this cool but very simple play area to have an easily achievable smooth surface for better, and longer, playtime.

This simple stadium was designed to have an equally smooth surface for efficient battling, as well as printed in separate pieces to incorporate different colors even without a dual extruder.

It’s a relatively small stadium, making it ideal for travel to and from tournaments and playgrounds alike. The pieces interlock to form a perfect circle and requires no supports or special settings to get right, making it a very cool looking stadium that anyone can print with ease.

The Beyblade Arena

The largest and most complicated arena is this one found on Printables. The creator designed this stadium for their kids who were presumeably sick of their Beyblades spinning off the flatter, more shallow variations often found online.

It’s a massive stadium fit for more than one spinner at a time, so is perfect for team play. While it does take more filament than most others, it’s printed in separate pieces to be glued together later so it can be done on just about any size printer.
