Mandalorian Helmet 3D Prints: 11 Best STLs You Can Print
At 3DSourced we’ve covered everything 3D printing and 3D since 2017. Our team has interviewed the most innovative 3D printing experts, tested and reviewed more than 20 of the most popular 3D printers and 3D scanners to give our honest recommendations, and written more than 500 3D printing guides over the last 5 years.
Mandalorian culture is one of the more fascinating aspects of the Star Wars franchise’s deeper lore. As a group of warriors known for conquering and mercenary work, the most devout of its members are forbidden from ever removing their helmets in front of another person.
Because of this devotion to the Mandalorian creed, their various headgear is their most iconic symbol, and they come in quite a few forms.
3D printing Mandalorian helmets for either cosplay or display makes for a fun project to do either alone or collaboratively, and they can end up looking really cool if you get the printing and post-processing just right.

In this article, we’re going to take a look at the best 3D printed Mandalorian helmets on the internet to make and print to decorate or wear as you like. Some are canon, and some are quirky, but all of them are well worth any fan’s attention.
Unfortunately, I can’t cover all the different kinds of Mandalorian helmet type here. But whyever you’re looking to 3D print your own Mandalorian helmet, you’re bound to find something here you’ll want to add to your to-print list as soon as possible!
But first, we’re going to answer a few FAQs so you can get printing with confidence.
How Long Does a Mandalorian Helmet Take to 3D Print?
How long a Mandalorian helmet takes to 3D print depends on a few factors, namely its size, how detailed it is, and whether or not you want it to be wearable. The simpler helmets shouldn’t take more than 6-8 hours, but if you want something movie-accurate, then expect to be working on your helmet for up to or over a week including post-processing.
How Much Filament Does it Take to 3D Print a Mandalorian Helmet?
Assuming you want a large and wearable Mandalorian helmet, you should expect to use around 500 grams of filament, which is half a standard-sized spool. Allowing for errors, you should prepare at least 750 grams (a mostly full spool) of filament before you start printing.
Can You 3D Print a Mandalorian Helmet on an Ender 3?
An Ender 3 3D printer is perfectly capable of 3D printing a Mandalorian helmet, even the larger ones.
If you have an Ender 3, then you should have no problem printing any of the Mandalorian helmets we’ll talk about on this list.
Classic Mandalorian Helmet
- Where to Download: Cults3D
- Designer: JORGEZEPEDA
- Price: $11.99
Before The Mandalorian show, Jango and Boba Fett were the most famous wearers of the Mandalorian-style armor. Jango, being the source of the main movies’ clone army, had a lengthy and emotional past that saw him wear a few different variations of his famous garb.
After Jango’s death, his genetic clone and adopted son Boba would honor his father by also dressing in such armor, and would become the bounty hunter introduced in the original trilogy.
They, along with Din Djarin, wear what’s generally known as the classic Mandalorian Armor, with the helmet shape even fairweather Star Wars fans will easily recognize.
This 3D printed Mandalorian helmet, along with the famous head dent, is based on the Beskar Steel armor, made as a defense against blasters and lightsabers (although that didn’t work out too well for Jango…)
Death Watch Helmet
- Where to Download: CGTrader
- Designer: GrizzlyMountainDesigns
- Price: $10.99
The Death Watch was a branch of Mandalorian culture that shares more similarities with a militia than a subculture. They vowed to live by the old ways, winning through underhanded strategies and savage violence. They take by brute force, and were an integral part of making the legendary Jango Fett the man he would one day become.
This 3D printed Mandalorian helmet makes use of magnets to hold it together as it should be, meaning you will need to do a little outside shopping and a touch of engineering to get just right.
But to 3D print your own helmet of one of the most influential groups to ever carry the name Mandalorian will be well worth the effort.
Darth Maul Death Watch Helmet
- Where to Download: Thingiverse
- Designer: JustTheBigBaby
- Price: Free
I couldn’t talk about Death Watch helmets without talking about the kind of helmet worn by one of my favorite Star Wars antagonists, Darth Maul.
To those of you who have only seen the main movies in the Star Wars franchise, it may surprise you to learn that Darth Maul survived his clash with Obi-Wan Kenobi after killing Qui-Gon Jinn. In fact, he lived on, motivated by revenge, to become a major player in Mandalore and even be a greater threat than he ever was as Sidious’ apprentice.
During his leadership, he took on an armor style of his own, including the appropriately horned Mandalorian helmet you can 3D print using the files in the link above. Even including the skull-shaped executioner helmet on this list, I must say that Maul’s personal Mandalorian helmet is perhaps the most intimidating of them all.
Stalker Helmet
- Where to Download: Printables
- Designer: Jace1969
- Price: Free
The standard Stalker helmet is similar to the classic helmet we all know and love, though they have a sleeker, more streamlined design that’s smoother and attracts less attention than the blocky outfit worn by Jango and Boba Fett.
This variation of Mandalorian armor was so impactful that it was later used as a basis for Sith Stalker armor, cybernetic armor that’s grafted directly to the wearer as a testament to their frighteningly fierce loyalty.
As a 3D printed Mandalorian helmet, these files were discovered and reconstructed as a favor to a friend and uploaded as an OBJ file for free on Printables for anyone to download and enjoy!
Executioner Helmet
- Where to Download: MyMiniFactory
- Designer: Deckard Jones
- Price: Free
The executioner helmet was clearly designed to be an intimidating addition to the Mandalorian wardrobe. The skull motif is hard to miss, and it clearly lives up to its name by resembling more of a grim reaper facade than that of a warrior or bounty hunter.
In the lore, this style of helmet was worn by Knight of Ren Ap’lek, who also donned a long cloak, rob-cage style armor, and a vibro-ax to really give those death-incarnate vibes.
The executioner was not immune to the death they personified though, as the last person to wear this armor perished at the hands of a soon-to-be redeemed Ben Solo.
Imperial Helmet
- Where to Download: MyMiniFactory
- Designer: PETER SNYDER
- Price: Free
The imperial Mandalorian helmet lives up to its name by being very reminiscent of the armor that makes up the bulk of the emperor’s army, the Stormtrooper.
This is no coincidence, as the original version of the Imperial Mandalorian armor was originally in white, and was based on Jango Fett’s own classic armor which itself inspired what his many clones would eventually come to wear.
Because of this, 3D printing the Imperial Mandalorian helmet is great for any kind of Star Wars cosplay. Stormtroopers themselves wore different helmet variations, so this generic yet highly customizable helmet lets you great an armored Star Wars costume that you can tailor however you like.
My personal color combination is the commando white and red, but of course, you can paint this helmet however you like to match your own style.
Nite Owl Helmet
- Where to Download: CGTrader
- Designer: akira-yuming
- Price: $10.00
An extra division of Death Watch, the Nite Owls are an all-female collective of some of the most elite warriors Mandalore has to offer. The helmet linked here is based specifically on the one worn by Nite Owl leader, Bo-Katan Kryze, a woman known for her bravery and confidence.
These traits are well symbolized in the headgear she wears, being that of a standard-looking Mandalorian helmet with a much smoother design, closer to that of a Stalker. Showing the elegance with which war can be waged while maintaining the look of savagery Death Watch knew was necessary for victory.
This 3D printed helmet isn’t made to any specific scale, so we recommend measuring the fit you’ll need and adjusting it in your slicer before you begin printing to make sure it comes out exactly as you need it to.
Armorer Helmet
- Where to Download: CGTrader
- Designer: VillainousPropShop
- Price: $10.00
Another female icon of Mandalorian lore, The Armorer was the leader of The Tribe, a covert branch of Mandalorian culture to which TV show protagonist Din Djarin belonged.
They were secretive and devout to the archaic creed known as the Way of Mandalore, working only one at a time and never showing their faces in front of any other person to remain undiscovered and reduce the risk of annihilation as much as possible.
The armorer led this clan as a patient matriarch, known for both her wisdom and her expertise in both forging and repairing armor, earning her the title she carries. Because of her status as leader, this 3D printed Mandalorian helmet is a unique design that belongs solely to her, and so makes for a recognizable model that any fan will enjoy.
Heavy Helmet
- Where to Download: Cults3D
- Designer: SERGIO99Z
- Price: $1
Serving the sect of Mandalorian culture known as The Tribe, the heavy infantry is exactly what you’d expect. They’re hulking, strong, well-armored fighters designed and trained for dealing maximum hurt while taking minimum damage.
The downside to this, of course, is restricted and slow movement as a result of their aptly named heavy armor. Nevertheless, they are a force to be reckoned with, and this 3D printed Mandalorian heavy helmet, complete with battle damage, is an awesome way to roleplay as these titans of the battlefield.
The first appearance of the heavy for many was in The Mandalorian’s 3rd chapter, The Sin, known to viewers as one of the first clear glimpses we got of Din Djarin’s true nature embodying more of a heroic quality than the selfishness we often see and associate with bounty hunters and mercenaries of his class.
Fan-Made 3D Printed Mandalorian Helmets
Canon can be fun to follow, and recreating favorites from within a franchise is a rewarding pursuit. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t a little creativity to be exercised too.
3D printing Mandalorian helmets with different motifs and additions really adds to the fun and gives you something unique. So here are the original and clever Mandalorian helmets you may not find in the Star Wars universe, but you’ll be happy to call your own.
The Punisher Mandalorian Helmet
- Where to Download: CGTrader
- Designer: GrizzlyMountainDesigns
- Price: $10.99
In a crossover I didn’t picture even after Disney acquired both Marvel and Star Wars, I was surprised to see just how well The Punisher’s skull symbol fits onto the standard Mandalorian helmet shape. Likely because of its similarity to the Executioner style helmet in Star Wars canon.
With a couple of styles to choose from, this is a really cool design for any fan of these two seemingly opposite franchises. They look awesome and could make for either a fun crossover cosplay, or an excellent Halloween costume.
Creator GrizzlyMountainDesigns is even fine with finished prints being sold as long as you credit their work while doing so!
‘Trojan’ Combo Helmet
- Where to Download: Cults3D
- Designer: AVENBRIDGES
- Price: $15
Being indecisive is a perfectly normal trait to have, but sometimes it’s fun to combine the best elements of your top options and get something really special. That was the case with this fan-made Mandalorian helmet, named ‘The Trojan’ by its creator.
Combining the styles of the Elite, Rook, Executioner, and Imperial styles, this is a 3D printed Mandalorian helmet that would fit well into the canon despite existing outside of it.
Best of all, it was designed as custom airsoft armor, making it fully wearable as it is and even has a great field of view. This means it’s not just great for cosplay, it’s also practical. Though it should be noted that this is not ideal armor for particularly dangerous activities like mountain biking or skiing.
Yoda Helmet
- Where to Download: Pinshape
- Designer: Bstar3Dprint
- Price: $36.40
While one of the priciest entries on this list, the design is beyond adorable. After the aptly-names ‘Baby Yoda’ took the internet by storm, we’ve been inundated with memes and wholesome photos of the cute little plot device.
So it shouldn’t come as too much of a shock to learn that there is a 3D printable Mandalorian helmet out there sporting a pair of Yoda ears.
It’s cute, it’s fun, and it’s bound to get a lot of attention at your next convention. So if you’ve got the money and time, then why not make a helmet with some somehow cute Yoda ears?
